How to view my tax return and tax documents

Login into your SmartVault account.

To view your documents.

Click “View your documents”, or by looking at the left-hand task bar and selecting “View Files and Folders.”

Click your name folder. Ex: "Smith, John".

Select "Tax".

Select the folder for the desired year. Ex "TY19 Files".

The "Source Documents" folder will have all the documents used to prepare your tax return.

The "Tax Return" folder will have a copy of your tax return.
How to upload your documents

Login into your SmartVault account.

Select “Upload a Document” on the Home Screen or select “Upload Documents” on the left-side task bar.

If you are uploading a tax document, select “Source Documents” folder that corresponds with the year of your document.

Click "Upload file" in the top right corner.

You can either drag and drop your file in this box or click in the box and it will allow you to browse and select your file from a specified location.

The document name should show at the bottom of the box.

Click "Save".

If you would like to rename the file, click on the button to the right with three dots and utilize the rename option.

We receive a notification when any document has been uploaded.
How to view "Public Documents"
What are Public Documents? Needed files for all our clients to view, fill out, and download.

Login into your SmartVault account.

Click “View your documents”, or by looking at the left-hand task bar and selecting “View Files and Folders."
3. Next, click the “Public Documents” folder.
4. Inside the folder you will find several documents available to you such as:
a. Consent to Disclosure
b. Office Hours/Contact Information
c. Client Information
d. Information Needed for Tax Returns: contains the list of tax documents needed from our clients.
5. Each one of these files can be downloaded, filled out, and returned to us either by uploading the newly filled out document to SmartVault, dropping it off to our office, or mailed to our P.O. box.
